Are Weight Loss Supplements Effective
The market today is flooded with weight loss supplements. Each manufacturer claims that their product is authentic and is capable of a magical transformation feat. My prospective clients are not only confused but in the absence of right information are also duped. They commit costly errors first by choosing the wrong product and second by risking their health.

These supplements are broadly classified as, weight loss supplements, herbal weight loss supplements, homeopathic supplements and weight supplement follies.

An herbal or homeopathic product should ideally be without a drug. Read the label carefully before you purchase. Such products can be trustworthy and may be consumed for good results over a long duration to reduce weight.

The products may be in the form of powders, drinks, or pills. How do they function in the body? They may either suppress appetite or increase the body’s metabolic rate resulting in a higher number of calories being consumed.

Some products may block the action of the Amylase enzyme produced in the digestive tract. This enzyme aids the break down and absorption of carbohydrates. Some products may work similarly on fats by working on the enzyme lipase. When you use such products, carbohydrates and fats are simply excreted without being absorbed.

Suppression of hunger is not a good way to reduce weight. Research has shown that once the regime is interrupted, the lost weight is regained.

Herbal products at times cause severe side effects in the form of liver problems that can even result in death. Before any type of weight loss supplement is consumed, it is best to consult the family doctor first. The doctor is familiar with your medical history and the best person to advice on the right course of action. Follow your weight loss and exercise regimen and consume the supplement tat the doctor recommends, if at all. Constantly remain in touch with your family doctor.
