Doctor will check you and tell you that are you fit enough to exercise or not. If you are fit then you must make out a regular plan to exercise. Spend more time in the gym than you do in front of the television in case you wish to lose weight.
 
Then there are different types of exercises that you must do regularly to lose weight. Walking or jogging is the best way to exercise. You must walk daily for ten minutes.

Cycling and swimming are also form of exercises you can do to be fit and lose weight. You also have the option of aerobics, stretching exercises and cardiovascular exercises. Warming yourself up, before an exercise session is very important no matter what your exercise preference is.

Some  exercises can be performed at home whereas other exercises you need special machines and you need to go gym for that.

You can see there are different varieties of  exercise. It is completely up to you and your personal preference.
